As tens of thousands of Jeep owners, Jeep enthusiasts and those who like a big party get set to swarm downtown for Toledo Jeep Fest, the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) wants to make certain you can join them without worrying about parking.
TARTA’s Jeep Fest Express, which debuted with last year’s festival, is back with enhanced service, delivering customers to the parade ground Saturday, Aug. 13 for just $1.50 per ride.

Direct trips from Franklin Park Mall to downtown will begin at 9 a.m. and run every 30 to 60 minutes until the final Express trip heads to Erie Street and Madison Avenue at 5 p.m.
Trips from Madison and Erie back to Franklin Park Mall will also leave every 30 to 60 minutes, with the first trip leaving downtown at 9:30 a.m. and the final trip leaving the festival area at 5:30 p.m.
Customers can pay with cash, through the EZFare app, or with a pass purchased on or after August 1 at TARTA’s Central Avenue garage (1127 W. Central Ave.) or TARTA’s downtown Transit Hub (612 N. Huron St.).
TARTA serves as the Transportation Sponsor for Jeep Fest, which welcomed more than 65,000 people from 37 states in 2021.
“TARTA is happy to provide an affordable transportation option for those who want to enjoy everything that Jeep Fest has to offer,” TARTA CEO Laura Koprowski said. “Events like this really give Toledo and Lucas County a chance to shine, and we believe that everyone should be able to enjoy it.
“This special event service will make it easier for customers to reach the parade, expo, music, food, and family activities without paying for parking or fighting traffic on the way out.”
Customers will also be able to take TARTA’s fixed-route vehicles, which will be running on a Saturday schedule, downtown to Jeep Fest. Trips to Jeep Fest for paratransit customers can be arranged by calling TARPS at 419-382-9901.
