Pay
Purchase Options
TARTA offers multiple ways to pay, including cash, the TARTA Card, or the EZFare app or EZFare website. Using the app or card enables "fare capping," so you never pay more than the daily pass price.
No cash refunds. If paying by cash, any remaining balance will be returned on a ticket that can only be used for future TARTA transportation
A friendly reminder: any attempt to ride without paying is a punishable crime.
Boarding
Getting on the Bus
Be Prepared
Please have your fare or electronic pass on the EZFare app ready before you board.
Be Courteous
When the bus stops, allow passengers on the bus to exit first.
Pay & Ride
Put cash payment in the fare box (change given by voucher) or scan your EZFare app.
If a transfer is needed, ask the operator after payment. When using the EZFare app, the transfer will automatically be applied.
Riding
While riding TARTA: stay seated or hold rails, keep aisles clear, watch stops, pull cord early, follow driver instructions, and be courteous to others.

Exiting
Pull the Chord or Push the Button
Pull the stop cord or press the stop button about a block before your stop. When the bus stops, exit through the rear door (unless told otherwise). Watch your step and clear the doorway quickly.
