Ten new diesel-powered full-size buses recently hit the road for TARTA, and the addition to 11 electric full-size vehicles  have helped to significantly drive down the average age of TARTA vehicles on the road.

Karen Poore, a Business Navigator with Lucas County’s Department of Economic Development, previously served as Deputy Mayor in the administration of City of Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz. 

Getting information about and communicating with TARTA became much easier with the launch of a new website in late April. The new tarta.com is designed with the customer in mind, providing easier navigation and a faster path to providing the information they want. 

As thousands of runners get ready to compete in Toledo, they’ll be able to take advantage of free transportation to and from the race from area hotels. TARTA will provide direct transportation to near the starting line at the University of Toledo on race day, Sunday, April 27.

TARTA is excited to welcome Zachary Schmidt as the City of Rossford’s representative on its Board of Trustees.

TARTA is revising the way it handles Reduced Fare Card replacements and boarding for Reduced Fare Card users, changes designed to make taking advantage of the program easier.

To honor the legacy and contributions of civil rights icon Rosa Parks, TARTA is teaming up with the Toledo Lucas County Public Library, the Toledo branch of the NAACP and local leaders to bring her story to families.
