(TOLEDO, September 3, 2020) – The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) Board of Trustees welcomes Louis “Bud” Thomson as a new Trustee representing the City of Maumee. Thomson replaces long-time TARTA Trustee Frank Frey who stepped down from the 13-member Board in July. Additional communities represented on the TARTA Board include Toledo, Ottawa Hills, Rossford, Sylvania, Sylvania Township and Waterville.
“We are excited to have Bud joining our Board,” said TARTA Board President Daniel Woodcock. “As we continue to build our new leadership team, his years of exceptional customer service background and dedication to the betterment of the Maumee community will be invaluable to our group.”
Thomson is a 40+ year resident of Maumee who has played an active role in the community over the years by serving on the City’s Civil Service commission and Charter Review Commission, as well as a volunteer with Maumee youth sports, Maumee Chamber of Commerce and the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio.
“Joining the TARTA Board aligns with my values to actively find ways to give back to the community through public service,” said Thomson. “I have been seeking ways to bring my years of public and business experience to benefit the City and community organizations like TARTA.”
Professionally, Thomson is an accomplished business executive who is currently the Client Solutions Manager with Warnock, Tanner & Associates Consulting based in Maumee. In this role, he is responsible for sales and project management of information technology consulting, assisting with marketing strategies, and generating sales results in excess of $1.5 million. Thomson has additional experience and accomplishments over the years in revenue generation, strategic planning, customer service and staffing/organizational management. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toledo.
