This Feel Good Friday and every day, TARTA is grateful for its drivers, who bring extraordinary skill, dedication, and enthusiasm to their work.
This week, TARTA received a note from the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities about the driver taking some of the participants to its Rec Jam at Centennial Terrace in Sylvania. TARPS operator Edith – in addition to delivering passengers to the event and assisting them on and off the vehicle as she always does – was dancing right along with the participants. Her enthusiasm helped others enjoy the event as well, and made the trip to the Rec Jam a great experience for many TARPS clients.
The note read, in part: “Edith is an awesome employee, as she was assisting her people off the TARPS bus she was dancing and so very happy which in turn created more happiness’ with her riders. When she came back to pick up her people, she had the same awesomeness about her…Thank you again for hiring quality, awesome drivers!!!!”
After serving as a fixed-route operator earlier in her career, Edith recently returned to drive for TARPS. We’re so happy to have her back on Team TARTA, and thank her for the energy she brings to her interactions with customers of our paratransit service on a daily basis.
