TARTA Launches Tuition Reimbursement Program
TARTA’s new RISE (Reinvestment Initiative for Staff Education) program offers tuition reimbursement for eligible Team TARTA members who want to further their career by pursing higher education options or professional certifications. Any employee who has been at TARTA for at least one year can be eligible, whether is an undergraduate or graduate degree or a professional development course.
This is a great opportunity to move up within the company and reskill our employees for new roles and personal growth...It’s a program that a lot of employees might not know exists yet, but we’ve also got team members going after business or computer science degrees, and the possibilities are endless. We are so happy to be able to offer this benefit to sharpen the skills of our workforce and open up this door to opportunity.
This program is for all employees, union and non-union, with the possibility of part-time or full-time classes. Any accredited college or university will be accepted for this program, and the student will have to maintain a C or higher in all classes to remain eligible. Reimbursement will depend on the type of degree or certification you are pursuing, but annual reimbursement would be as follows:
- Enrichment courses: $1,500-$4,000
- Undergraduate: $2,000 for part-time, $4,000 for full-time
- Graduate: $2,500 for part-time, $5,000 for full-time
