System Redesign: January 25, 2026
TARTA's Board of Trustees has approved major changes to routing set to begin January 25, 2026, impacting nearly every route. These adjustments represent $480,000 more in service. Changes include but are not limited to:
- Service every 30 minutes for routes 3, 10, 20 and 31 between the hours of 6:30-9:30 a.m. and 2:30-5:30 p.m.
- The extension of Route 2 to Lourdes University (will be changed after the completion of I-23/Alexis-Monroe construction project)
- The extension of both fixed route and TARTA Move paratransit service stop time, from 10:23 p.m. to 10:53 p.m.
- The new Route 18, which will head from TARTA's Transit Hub to the Meijer on Alexis Road
- The elimination of all route letters (i.e. 31H, 20F, 10L etc.). Many portions of those route branches will be covered by other route changes
- The elimination of routes 14 and 52
- Less frequent service on all routes after 6 p.m. (service every 90 minutes)
Changes were made to the initial proposal based on feedback received at public meetings. TARTA thanks everyone who took the time to share their opinions with personnel as these service changes were finalized.
