Community Leaders Join TARTA In Rolling Out Service To Oregon

Officials from the City of Oregon and Lucas County will join Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) to tout the start of public transportation services in Oregon.  

What: Press conference highlighting TARTA fixed-route, TARPS, and TARTA Flex service in Oregon

When: Monday, January 8, 10 a.m. 

Where: Oregon Municipal Building, 5330 Seaman Road, Oregon 

Officials from the City of Oregon will be joined by TARTA CEO Laura Koprowski and members of the TARTA Board of Trustees to discuss the impact of public transportation service on the area the work and collaboration that led up to putting service on the road.  

Attendees will then take a TARTA Flex vehicle from the press conference to the TARTA stop in front of Walmart (3721 Navarre Avenue, Oregon), where they will board the Route 2 to TARTA’s Transit Hub (612 N. Huron Street, Toledo). 

Trips on TARTA services to and from Oregon begin Sunday, January 7. Customers eligible for TARPS paratransit services can begin booking trips now for Sunday and beyond.  

Oregon residents will be able to request Flex on-demand rides for the first time Sunday to and from anywhere in Oregon and Rossford, and Route 2 will connect fixed-route riders to the Toledo Museum of Art, Franklin Park Mall, and other stops in Toledo and Sylvania.
