A GUIDE TO RIDING TARTA
TARTA continually works to expand on and improve service in Lucas County and the City of Rossford. Through fresh ideas that expand the number of northwest Ohioans for whom public transit is a viable option and listening to the customers who depend on us, we strive to make reaching your destination the easiest part of your day.
SERVICES
TARTA’s recently expanded fixed route service now reaches the communities of Oregon, Holland and Springfield Township, in addition to Toledo, Sylvania, Maumee, Rossford, Sylvania Township and Ottawa Hills.
TARTA Move provides door-to-door service for paratransit customers, offering passengers with mobility challenges a road to independence.
TARTA’s on-demand service, TARTA Flex, covers nearly all of Lucas County and Rossford with a fleet of accessible minivans that can be scheduled up to 24 hours ahead of time or reserved through the app 30-to-60 minutes ahead of time. This service is designed to connect suburban communities to each other and suburban customers to the TARTA fixed route stop nearest to them.
All TARTA vehicles are fully accessible, in compliance with ADA requirements.

FARES
TARTA is dedicated to making transit affordable, with all fares remaining at pre-COVID levels. Find a full fare list here, and find out if you’re eligible for our Reduced Fare Card program.
Are you a regular rider who is looking to save money? TARTA has brought fare-capping to northwest Ohio through the TARTA Card, which gives customers the convenience of a long-term pass without the upfront cost. The TARTA Card is available at TARTA’s Transit Hub, which is located at 612 N. Huron Street in Toledo.
Passengers may pay on board with cash, a pass, with the TARTA Card or virtually by downloading Transit App or the EZFare app. Operators on board buses can not give change, but customers will receive a change card with credit toward their next ride.
ONLINE TO ON BOARD
Waiting for your bus? Arrival times are available from any stop by downloading Transit App. TARTA stops are also updated in Google Maps, allowing you to plan your route.
YOUTH SUMMER BLAST PASS
TARTA’s Youth Summer Blast Pass program allows youth ages 6-19 to ride TARTA services free of charge each summer. Passes are available at public events and TARTA facilities, and applications can be found online in May of each year. In 2024 alone, area youth received 2,300 passes and took 16,815 rides using the Blast Pass, removing financial and travel barriers for students from every part of the area.
SPECIAL EVENT TRANSPORTATION
TARTA uses park-and-rides to ensure that everyone in northwest Ohio can enjoy an inexpensive ride to some of the area’s biggest and best events. Customers can enjoy an express trip without worrying about traffic or parking fees by taking advantage of the Muddy Shuttle, the Walleye Shuttle, Jeep Fest Express or other Special Event services.
