Oregon’s Boomfest celebrates independence with family fun, music and fireworks this Saturday, July 15, and the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) is set to help connect customers to the event with Special Event Transportation and a park-and-ride.
For $1.50 per ride or $3 for a Day Pass, attendees can park at Starr Elementary School (3230 Starr Avenue) and take a bus directly to and from the festivities.
TARTA shuttles will run from Starr Elementary to Oak Shade Grove every 20 minutes, beginning at 2:20 p.m. The final trip from Starr Elementary will leave at 10 p.m. Trips from Oak Shade Grove back to Starr’s parking lot run every 20 minutes starting at 2:30 p.m., with the last bus leaving at 10:50 p.m.
Boomfest kicks off at 3 p.m. with activities including an inflatable fun zone and obstacle course, a gaming trailer, arts and crafts, mini golf, and much more. Musical performances begin at 5 p.m., with Arctic Clam and Distant Cousinz setting the stage for headline act Scott Stapp, The Voice of Creed at 8:30 p.m.
The fireworks display begins at dusk. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and $10 cash if parking at Oak Shade Grove.
