Wrapped Bus Honoring Veterans Rolls Out This Week

A familiar sight on the roads of Lucas County and Rossford takes on some extra meaning this week, as TARTA debuts a new bus wrap honoring our veterans.

This bus will make its first trips on different routes on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11.

The Lucas County Veterans Service Commission hosts its Veterans Day Breakfast and Resource Fair Tuesday from 8-11 a.m. at Savage Arena. TARTA is grateful for the help of the Commission in putting together this wrap, which calls attention to the heroism, service and sacrifice of so many.

The team at the Lucas County Veterans Service Commission is scheduled to take a team photo with the bus Wednesday at 2 p.m. in front of their facility at 2255 Arlington Ave.

All veterans and active-duty military are eligible for TARTA’s Reduced Fare Program, which cuts the cost of a ride on a fixed-route vehicle to 75 cents. Those interested in this program can apply at tarta.com.
