Walleye Shuttle Paves The Way To The Playoffs For Fans

TARTA is removing transportation and cost barriers for fans who want to watch the Toledo Walleye chase the Kelly Cup. The Walleye Shuttle will be in operation for every home game this postseason.

The Walleye Shuttle offers a $3 round-trip ride to the Huntington Center from five area park-and-ride locations during the playoffs, and runs for Saturday games during the regular season. Service to every home game will begin when the team opens its ninth consecutive playoff run at home Thursday, April 23 against a to-be-determined opponent.

Game 2 of the Central Division Semifinals takes place Saturday, April 25 in Toledo, and the Walleye will host games 6 and 7 – if necessary – the first week of May at the Huntington Center.

“As a big hockey fan myself, it’s amazing to me to see the way this area supports the Walleye, and we want to put as many people as we can in touch with the atmosphere that these games create,” said TARTA Deputy CEO Rick Bailey.

“We want to make getting to and from the game the easiest part of the evening. This is a great way for customers to connect to the event without worrying about paying for parking, so they can focus fully on cheering on Toledo’s team.”

The Shuttle will pick up customers at:

  • Sylvania, Franciscan Center, 6832 Convent Blvd., departs 90 minutes before puck drop
  • Waterville, Kroger, 8730 Waterville Swanton Road, departs 90 minutes before puck drop
  • Miracle Mile Shopping Center, 1727 West Laskey Road, departs 60 minutes before puck drop
  • Maumee, Lucas County Recreation Center, 2901 Key Street, departs 60 minutes before puck drop
  • Oregon, Starr Elementary School, 3230 Starr Avenue, departs 60 minutes before puck drop

Each shuttle will head back to park-and-ride locations 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
