National Transit Employee Appreciation Day is a celebration of the dedicated professionals who keep public transportation running for the people who depend on it. Wednesday, March 18 and every day, we honor the operators, mechanics, customer service staff, administrative staff and so many others who make sure that the things that make northwest Ohio great are accessible to everyone.

Help us celebrate by:

• Saying "thanks" to your operator and other Team TARTA members
• Tell us what makes those team members so fantastic on social media with the hashtag #TransitEmployeeAppreciationDay, or by letting us know about your favorite transit employee by sending a note to TARTA's Communications team.
• Learn more about the economic impact that strong public transit has in areas around the nation.

TARTA delivered close to 2.5 million trips in 2025. We are grateful for the skill and dedication of the people who made it happen.
