TARTA Makes It Easy To Reach Lucas County Fair July 10, 12

Lucas County is providing free admission and food vouchers to county residents who wish to attend the Lucas County Fair Thursday, July 10 and Saturday, July 12, and TARTA wants to clear the way to the midway with a convenient, affordable ride.

TARTA will be running hourly shuttles to and from the Lucas County Fairgrounds (1406 Key Street, Maumee) from its Transit Hub downtown (612 N. Huron Street, Toledo) on both July 10 and July 12. Shuttles to the Fair will leave the Cherry Street side of the Hub every hour on the hour between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. both days, and will return from the entrance to the fairgrounds at the bottom of the hour, with the last trip back departing Maumee at 8:30 p.m.

Shuttles will cost $1.50 per passenger each way.

“We are thrilled to be able to provide this service and to help as many people as possible enjoy the Lucas County Fair,” said TARTA CEO Laura Koprowski. “It is very generous of the County to provide tickets and food vouchers to county residents, and we are honored to play a small part in this.

“Whether families are headed out for the food, the music, the animals or anything else, we do not want cost to be a barrier to enjoying this event. We want to continue to connect people with the events that make Lucas County a great place to be in the summer.”

TARTA is providing special service to a number of upcoming events, including: Muddy Shuttle to Toledo Mud Hens home games on Fridays and Saturdays; Jeep Fest Express to the parade on August 2; and Maumee Summer Fair August 9.
