Music filled the air on Saturday, August 10, for the Glass City JazzFest at Glass City Metropark, and the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) provided express service to help customers enjoy the event.
Buses ran from Franklin Park Mall and The Docks directly to JazzFest, which began at 1 p.m. Attendees could park at either location and purchase a ride to the festival for $1.50 each way.
The first express bus from Franklin Park Mall to Glass City Metropark departed at 11 a.m., with rides running every 30-45 minutes until 6:30 p.m. Return trips to Franklin Park started at 1:35 p.m. and continued every 45 minutes until the last bus after the final performance.
Shuttle service from Boyer Way at The Docks, where event parking was available, ran every 15 minutes starting at 11:30 a.m. The final trip to the event left at 9:30 p.m., with the last return trip departing Glass City Metropark at 9:50 p.m.
Paratransit service was available by scheduling in advance, and fixed-route service on TARTA routes 2, 12, and 14 stopped near the Glass City Metropark.
