55 Years of Service

Celebrating 55 Years

Since 1971

2026 marks the celebration of an anniversary for TARTA, which is in its 55th year of a crucial service that allows people reach essential destinations. From rides to new jobs to first ball games to family reunions and everything in between, we treasure our role in the stories of the people we are so proud to serve.

The last few years have been among the most active in TARTA’s history, with the introduction of new destinations, new customer amenities and new services. We continue to look for ways to make public transportation easier and more accessible.

For more than five decades, TARTA has connected northwest Ohioans to jobs, medical appointments, education, and everything that makes this region great. We look forward to providing this crucial service for the next 55 years and beyond.

TARTA will be hosting events each month to celebrate its anniversary in 2026, and more information on those can be found on this page when available. In the meantime, you can help us celebrate by sharing memories of riding TARTA or photos (old and new) with us through Facebook messages.
