Your Voice Matters: TARTA Is Fare-Free On Election Day
Building on an Election Day tradition, TARTA will once again be offering a fare-free ride for all customers on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.
TARTA’s Board of Trustees approved the action, which is applied to all TARTA fixed route, TARTA Move paratransit and TARTA Flex on-demand service all day.
“It’s our way to removing barriers to having everyone’s voice be heard,” said TARTA CEO Laura Koprowski. “We don’t want the cost of transportation be something that stops people from taking part in this very important process.
“It’s crucial for us to help every member of our community who wants to has a say in who our elected officials are and on the issues that impact them. We are happy to help make that happen.”
At tarta.com/community/voter-ready-with-tarta, passengers will find resources to help them locate their polling place and find out which route can get them there.
For early voters, TARTA can get early voters where they’re going for regular fare. Routes 3, 17 and 19 reach the early vote center at Lucas County’s Shared Services building (3737 W. Sylvania Avenue). Early voting for this election in Lucas County runs through Sunday, November 1.
