TARTA Trash Troop Cleans Up Again As Part Of Litter League

Volunteers from TARTA hit the streets of the 43610 area code this summer equipped with garbage bags, litter pickers and positive attitudes. The TARTA Trash Troop - one of many teams in the Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful Litter League competition - collected and properly disposed of 112.5 bags of litter this summer.

TARTA won its division of the competition for the fifth consecutive year.

All told, Litter League teams picked up 705 bags of trash in 101 cleanups over the summer.

Taking part in this competition is one small way TARTA can show its pride in the community we are so fortunate to serve. Thanks to the Team TARTA members who volunteered their time to make it possible.
