TARTA Puts Passengers In Touch With Cooling Centers
The National Weather Service warns of an extended period of high temperatures in the Toledo area next week, with temps reaching 90 on Monday and continuing through the week.
TARTA reminds passengers that many fixed route buses can connect them with cooling centers set up all around the area.
Find out where you can find a public cooling center and use TARTA's trip planner to plot your route. There are also several cooling centers that, while not located near fixed route stops, are accessible via TARTA Flex on-demand.
Passengers who are going to be at a bus stop for an extended period of time are reminded to hydrate, and limit the amount of time they wait at the stop by checking real-time arrival information by using Transit App or Google.
