TARTA Lineup Moved, Delays Expected During Sunday’s Garmin Marathon

The Garmin Marathon Series visits Toledo this Sunday, and roads closed to accommodate those races will necessitate a lineup move and detours on every TARTA route.

Large parts of downtown and Toledo’s South Side - including bridges – are scheduled to be closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, and races also run through parts of Rossford, Maumee and Perrysburg. TARTA’s Transit Hub at 612 N. Huron Street is on the race route, and the building will be closed to the public all day Sunday.

TARTA buses will still be in service, and will line up on Greenbelt Parkway between Lagrange and Cherry Streets. Passengers should expect significant delays on every route, as closures impact streets that effect all of them. 

When road closures are eased, TARTA vehicles will return to the Hub for the 5:30 p.m. lineup. 

TARTA will have Transportation Supervisors and ambassadors available on Greenbelt Parkway for anyone with questions about service on Sunday.
