Sidewalk Construction To Temporarily Relocate Bus Lineup
Construction begins next Monday, July 13, on sidewalk improvements at the waiting area on the apartment side of Huron Street near the TARTA Transit Hub. As this project to improve the waiting area continues, buses that normally line up on that side will line up around the corner from the Hub on Superior Street.

Passengers waiting for routes 15, 16, 18, 22, 26, 33 and 34 will need to line up on Superior between Cherry and Orange streets. The Owens Community College shuttle will stage on Orange north of Huron. Every other TARTA bus will remain in its regular lineup spot, and the GoBus will continue to stop at Cherry and Superior.
Construction on this long overdue upgrade of the sidewalk and waiting area is expected to continue through approximately early November. This project – funded by Local Investment in Transit Enhancements (LITE) funds through the sales tax levy supporting TARTA – is a collaborative effort by Lucas Metropolitan Housing, the City of Toledo and TARTA. When completed, new bus shelters will be placed on the apartment side of Huron Street to match the new sidewalk.
TARTA appreciates your patience as crews work to improve the area and make waiting for a bus more comfortable for years to come.
