LITE Funds In Action

Construction continues on currently on Edgevale Road in Ottawa Hills, one of several projects in the area partially paid for by Local Investment in Transit Enhancements (LITE) funds.
A set amount of money from the sales tax levy funding TARTA goes directly to communities for use on projects designed to improve the commute for motorists, pedestrians and public transit users alike.
Projects in the area partially funded by LITE this year include:

| Maumee | $90,000 | Sidewalks, crosswalks at some existing bus stops, including flashing beacons in Uptown area |
| Sylvania Township | $90,000 | ADA and sidewalk and curb improvements for Walnut Springs, Pelican Cove and Eagle Park subdivisions |
| City of Sylvania | $90,000 | Resurfacing of Monroe Street from Acres Road to Whiteford Road |
| Waterville | $90,000 | Improvement of 275 sidewalk panels on Fourth, Fifth and Second streets, including installation of 12 new ADA sidewalk ramps |
| Rossford | $90,000 | Work on sidewalks, benches and shelters at bus stops in area of Buck & Glenwood |
| Ottawa Hills | $90,000 | Sidewalk replacement and road repairs on Edgevale, between Bancroft and Secor |
