2024 TARTA Community Update: Transforming the Region Through Transit

Team TARTA invites you to join us at the Glass City Center on Thursday, November 14th for a community event with exciting updates about the future of TARTA and how transit is transforming the region with Laura Koprowski, TARTA’s Chief Executive Officer.

This free event is your opportunity to learn about the exciting ways TARTA is delivering on its promise to the community. Discover how we’re making services more accessible, empowering people to make connections, and improving northwest Ohio’s mobility system for those who depend on it every day.

Author and disability advocate Anna Letitia Zivarts will keynote TARTA’s Community Update.

Zivarts is the author of When Driving Is Not An Option: Steering Away From Car Dependency, as well as the creator of the Week Without Driving, a national event which takes place Sept. 30 to Oct. 6. Her work highlights the challenges that nondrivers face while navigating our mobility systems nationwide, and calls attention to how improving those systems with nondrivers in mind would create a better quality of life.

This event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required.

TARTA is committed to making our events accessible to everyone. If you require an accommodation or language access (interpretation or translation) services to fully participate, please contact Andy Cole at acole@tarta.com or at (419) 245-5213 at least 7 days prior to the event. These services are provided for free and at no cost to the participant.

Enhancing Mobility in Northwest Ohio

TARTA is proud to serve the thousands who depend on public transportation every day. 2023 was one of the most active years in memory for TARTA, which improved its fleet of vehicles and expanded service to make public transportation an option for more northwest Ohioans than ever before.

Get a look at our 2023 Report to the Community below for a closer look at recent activity and details on our plans for the future. We look forward to more customer-focused improvements and welcome the input of the traveling public as we continue to build the mobility system this area needs and deserves.
