As what’s projected to be a massive winter storm approaches the area, the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) reminds customers that it will run on a normal schedule through Level 1 and Level 2 snow emergencies in Lucas County and Rossford.
TARTA services would only be modified and possibly suspended in the event of a Level 3 Snow Emergency. Weather-related schedule changes will be announced by TARTA through social media channels, tarta.com, and news releases.
In the event that a Level 3 Snow Emergency is announced the day before, fixed-line weekday routes will operate on a Saturday schedule from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. If roads are deemed hazardous, prescheduled TARPS trips canceled, with the exceptions of doctor’s appointments and kidney dialysis appointments. Call-A-Ride and UT Blue Loop services would be suspended until the Level 3 Snow Emergency is lifted.
If a Level 3 Snow Emergency is called before 11 a.m., fixed-line service would be scaled back to a Saturday schedule at noon and run until 6 p.m. Call-A-Ride services would run two complete time points and then be suspended for the remainder of the day. Prescheduled TARPS reservations would be canceled, and with the exception of those in life-threatening situations.
In the event that a Level 3 Snow Emergency is called after 11 a.m., fixed-line routes will run on a Saturday schedule beginning with the first available line-up, and the last line-up would take place at 6 p.m.
