TARTA joins the Ohio Public Transit Association (OPTA) and 66 other agencies in Ohio in celebrating Ohio Loves Transit Week Feb. 5-11. TARTA’s celebration includes:
A press event recognizing Rosa Parks Day with a display on the wall of the Transit Hub
Speaking with state legislators about the importance of mobility and public transit
The continued rollout of our new on-demand service, TARTA Flex.
TARTA and other transit services provide a vital link to the community for people facing mobility challenges, providing rides to work, job training programs, medical appointments and adult care facilities. Between fixed-route, TARPS paratransit and what was formerly our Call-A-Ride service, TARTA provided close to 2 million rides in 2022, returning to close to pre-pandemic ridership rates faster than the nation average.
Transit drives our economy, with statistics showing that every $1 invested in public transit generates $4 in economic return. Whether getting to area shopping centers, local airports, libraries, parks, bike trails, or countless other destinations—transit will get you there
