The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority will hold a public hearing at 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the Authority’s TARPS offices, 130 Knapp Street, Toledo, Ohio 43604, for the purpose of discussing with the public, information on service discontinuations and modifications of various routes to be effective January 6, 2013. The site is accessible to persons with mobility impairments, and interpretive services for the hearing-impaired will be provided upon request. Individuals wishing to comment in person on the proposed changes should be present.
Proposed Service Changes:
Route 16C Stickney/Central and 16K Stickney/Ketchum/Manhattan Plaza:
Due to the closure of major commercial tenants at Manhattan Plaza, extend the route to serve the Kroger store on Suder and the Meijer store on Alexis via Benore Road. Service to these new locations would cause the elimination of route 16K route branch and extension of route 16C to account for the resources needed to make the route change to the new shopping destinations. Routes 16K and 16C will be merged as route 16 Alexis Meijer.
