At the end of September, the city issued a notice that Alexis road was to experience lane restrictions on the INB/OB (West/East) 26D routes. As part of TARTA’s policy, we do not pick up in construction zones.
On the INBOUND, the restrictions begin at Pickard St. (West of Jackman) and end at Foth St. just before Douglas road. With these lane restrictions we are losing 4 bus stops.
Customers wanting to board an inbound bus will have to stand on Alexis Rd before Pickard street or on Douglas road at Alexis, (old Banner Mattress).
On the OUTBOUND the lane restrictions are the same, (Foth street back to Pickard). East bound lanes we have lost 2 stops.
To board OUTBOUND, customers will have to use the same stops at the inbound trips. Douglas road before Alexis and Pickard street before Jackman.
The notice from the city stated that these restrictions would be in place for approximately 60 days weather permitting.
