JazzFest Express Service Connects Music Fans To Glass City JazzFest

Music will be in the air Saturday, August 10 for the Glass City JazzFest at Glass City Metropark, and The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) will help customers enjoy this day-long event with express service.

Buses at Franklin Park Mall and The Docks will be running directly to JazzFest, which begins at 1 p.m. Attendees can park at either location and purchase a ride to the festival for $1.50 each way.  

The first Express bus from Franklin Park Mall to Glass City Metropark departs at 11 a.m., and rides will leave every 30-45 minutes until 6:30 p.m. Return trips to Franklin Park start at 1:35 p.m. and run every 45 minutes until the last bus back after the final performance.

Shuttle service from Boyer Way at The Docks – which will host parking for the event – will leave every 15 minutes, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The final trip to the event from Boyer Way leaves at 9:30 p.m., and the final return trip departs Glass City Metropark at 9:50 p.m.

Paratransit service to the event can be scheduled by calling 419-382-9901, and fixed route service on TARTA routes 2, 12 and 14 stop near the Glass City Metropark.

• 496 West, 2:30 p.m. 
• Allen Dennard, 4 p.m. 
• Ilya Serov, 5:30 p.m. 
• Jeanette Harris and Ragan Whiteside, 7 p.m. 
• Bob James, 8:30 p.m

TARTA serves as the Transportation Sponsor for JazzFest.

Customers will also be able to take TARTA’s fixed-route vehicles, which will be running on a Sunday schedule, downtown to the JazzFest.
