How do you get a Youth Summer Blast Pass?
Normally, TARTA’s Youth Summer Blast Pass will cost $25. In 2026, they will be free!
How long is the YSBP good for?
The YSBP can be used for unlimited rides from May 25th to August 31st.
Once the summer season is over, a new pass will be issued to applicants the following summer.
Is a physical pass needed to ride with the YSBP?
No! Again, ideally, they would use the digital pass through EZfare. But physical passes will be made available. Both digital and physical passes need to be scanned upon entering the bus.

For convenience, we encourage youth to use digital passes through EZFare. Follow the steps below to get a digital pass.
STEP 1: Download EZfare

Note: Each individual rider will need a unique email address and their own EZFare Account.
Digital passes will be activated beginning May 25th.
Please check your EZFare account within 48 hours of May 25, 2026 to find your digital pass in your account! For any problems, please email the YSBP team.
Physical Pass
To obtain a physical pass you must fill out a physical application which you will be able to obtain at the TARTA Transit Hub or download on this page. Once completed, return the application to the TARTA Transit Hub or partner location, and a Youth Summer Blast Pass will be handed to you. Paper applications and YSBP cards are also available at our community partners listed below..

YSBP Terms and Conditions
- No unauthorized passengers may use the pass.
- Passholders must obey bus driver’s instructions at all times.
- Transporting animals other than authorized service animals, pets, or glass containers on buses is not allowed.
- Always remain in your seat while the bus is in motion.
- Excessive noise or disturbance to any passenger or driver is not allowed.
- No noise or talking while the driver is approaching or crossing a railroad crossing or other danger points.
- Passholders may not extend any part of their bodies through bus windows.
- Spitting or throwing any object from windows is not allowed.
- Smoking, vaping, and littering are not allowed.
- Students may not use profane language.
- Students must observe safety precautions when crossing streets, entering, or exiting a bus.
- Any conduct which could endanger any passenger or driver, or which could result in damage to the vehicle is not allowed. Passholders over 18, and the parents of minors passholders, voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss and shall be held responsible for any damage to the bus caused by them.
- The carrying of weapons is strictly prohibited by passholders.
