TARTA Gathered Feedback On Upcoming Service Changes

The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) hosted 5 public events to gather community feedback on upcoming proposed service changes, which include:

• The introduction of Sunday and holiday service
• Expanded service on Saturday mornings
• Expanded Saturday hours for Routes 26 and 34
• Elimination of weekend Route 31C to UTMC, and maintaining expanded service on routes 31G and 31H

The purpose of these events was to seek comment from the public and the business community of these changes. These forums focused on the Title VI equity analyses surrounding the service changes. Public meetings were scheduled for the following dates:

Virtual meeting, Monday, Dec. 20, 2021 7p.m. to 7 p.m.

Virtual meeting, Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, noon-1 p.m.

Virtual meeting, Wednesday, Jan. 05, 2022, 5p.m. to 6 p.m.

Virtual meeting, Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

In-Person Open House at the TARTA Transit Hub (612 N. Huron St. Toledo) Monday, Jan. 03, 2022, 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority will be accepting public comments about the service modifications that will occur March, 2022. All comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, to be included as part of the official record.
