No matter what the temperature is when baseball season starts in Toledo, the Toledo
Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) will be ready for it with an expanded Muddy
Shuttle available to Toledo Mud Hens fans on Opening Day.
In addition to regular service that runs near Fifth Third Field on game days, TARTA’s
Muddy Shuttle allows fans to park at area locations and take an inexpensive ride
directly to and from an expanded list of Toledo Mud Hens games during the season.
The Shuttle will run for the 4:05 p.m. start on Opening Day, Friday, March 29 against
the Nashville Sounds, and for every Friday and Saturday game between Memorial
Day and the end of the season.
“Bringing the Muddy Shuttle back for even a few games last season was met with
great response from our customers, so expanding this service makes so much sense,”
said TARTA CEO Laura Koprowski. “We want to make sure that everyone in this area
has an opportunity to enjoy the Mud Hens, and this quick connection at an affordable
price will put customers in touch with this great stadium and the family-friendly
atmosphere the team has worked so hard to cultivate.”
Fans can pitch around parking and traffic troubles by taking the Muddy Shuttle for
$3 round-trip. Shuttles will leave the locations listed below an hour before first
pitch, and will return 20 minutes after the game or post-game fireworks have
concluded.
Shuttles leave from:
“We love putting people in touch with everything this area has to offer, and
inexpensive trips to Mud Hens games are an important part of TARTA fulfilling its
mission,” Koprowski said. “We look forward to a great season of following the team
and another season of what is a productive, beneficial partnership with the Mud
Hens.”
