This is a managerial level position responsible for developing and implementing a communication and marketing strategy in support of the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authorityâs strategic goals. As a member of TARTAâs Department of Communication, Mobility and Customer Experience, this involves creating promotional materials, managing social media, overseeing internal and external communications, liaising with media and external constituents, and analyzing and evaluating marketing practices.
Examples of Duties
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
â¢ Responsible for leading the development and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns and strategies that will help further TARTAâs mission and success goals.
â¢ Oversee the day-to-day media relations for the organization including developing news releases, monitoring media coverage, and developing relationships with the media.
â¢ Serve as a key member of TARTAâs Customer Experience team to increase
customer satisfaction and grow ridership.
â¢ Create internal communications protocols and initiatives that will foster employee moral and ensure brand continuity.
â¢ Oversee the creation of marketing and communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with the organization’s brand including advertising campaigns, website content and graphics, printed materials, and more.
â¢ Coordinate the production and delivery of TARTAâs internal and external
newsletters on a monthly basis.
â¢ Organize customer events.
â¢ Develop and manage TARTAâs community partnerships.
â¢ Measure and report on key communications and marketing performance indicators of TARTAâs 5-year Strategic Plan.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
â¢ Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.
â¢ Proven experience utilizing social media marketing tools, developing, and designing online and print promotional literature to highlight programs or services.
â¢ Event management experience.
â¢ Ability to plan, lead, and manage a complex workload while balancing multiple priorities.
â¢ Proven experience working collaboratively and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
â¢ Demonstrated initiative and creativity.
â¢ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
