Scheduling/Planning Department Personnel, reports to Director of Planning/Scheduling
The Transit Planner utilizes a wide variety of skills to plan and schedule public transportation services. The person in this position is responsible for the day-to-day functions associated with service planning and scheduling. This individual assists with identifying opportunities for improvement and is intricately involved in preparation for implementation. The Transit Planner is part of the planning team and works intricately with the members of the Planning/Scheduling department, TARTA staff, as well as other outside organizations.

Employee must be functionally qualified to perform all of duties assigned to this position at all times. Medical certification as required
To uphold the mission of serving our community, applicants must meet the following requirements for all TARTA positions:
Education: High school diploma or GED;
Experience: Five (5) years consecutive, licensed driving experience;
Credentials: Valid vehicle operatorâs license with less than 3 points on current Drivers Abstract;
Must be at least 21 years of age;
A background worthy of public trust; a background check free from infractions and driverâs license suspensions;
Employee must be functionally capable to perform all of the duties assigned to this position at all times; medical certification as required;
Legally able to work in the United States.
