All language assistance services for Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority programs and services,
including paratransit functional assessments and paratransit eligibility appeals,
are provided to the public at no charge.
The Utility Mechanic performs basic maintenance, providing assistance to Mechanics, A, B, and C as required. The Utility Mechanic performs all routine bus maintenance. In addition, the employee performs other duties as assigned and required. The Utility Mechanic must be proficient in all duties of the Night Service employee and Cleaner. The Utility job descriptions include all the requirements found in the Night Service and Cleaner descriptions.
To uphold the mission of serving our community, applicants must meet the following requirements for all TARTA positions:
A background worthy of public trust; a background check free from infractions and driver’s license suspensions
High School Diploma/GED
Must be at least 21 years of age
5 years driving experience (any vehicle)
Minimum of 5 years valid driver’s license
Safe driving record (less than 2 points)
Legally able to work in the United States
